34 an hour Responsible for ensuring optimal compliance with patient/clinical documentation that comprises the medical record, including:
indexing of documentation, record analysis, deficiency assignment and management, timely/compliant chart completion workflow, ensures records are maintained in accordance with state and federal retention guidelines, responsible for overseeing release of health information in a timely manner compliant with regulatory requirements, forms/template management, processing of birth and death certificates and coordination of data governance efforts.
Ensures compliance with audits, established regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Responsible for development of goals, objectives, budgets, and performance standards relative to HIM operations.
Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, lead change and projects in the organization, demonstrate strong personal integrity, work independently and have flexibility.
Must have solid organizational, planning and budgetary skills.
Must work with and respect highly confidential information and have a broad knowledge of MS Office and electronic health information systems.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
maximum, with some lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential required.
Three (3) years' experience working in an HIM environment.
Two (2) years' experience with Electronic Medical Record systems.
Two (2) years' experience in overseeing Release of Information processes.
One (1) year experience overseeing document imaging processes preferred.
Must have strong overall knowledge in HIM operational functions.
Strong organizational skills, be motivated, self-directed, work independently, prioritize, juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve results.
Transparent and collaborative leader comfortable spearheading and supporting change.
Demonstrated ability to diplomatically respond to difficult and stressful situations and work as part of a team.
Demonstrated non-defensive, objective, fact-based approach to issue resolution; commands personal respect across diverse organizational groups through a collaborative and cooperative work style.
A working knowledge of The Joint Commission standards, federal and state peer review organization guidelines and regulations in addition to federal and state statutes pertaining to health information issues is preferred.
MS Office experience is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
